The Pandora box of racial abusing was opened by the newly "wed with Delhi power", the AAP government. Delhi law minister and senior AAP leader Somnath Bharti had headlines for his vigilante style of delivering justice. The minister arrived in Khirki extension late at night and led raids against foreign nationals from Uganda and Nigeria. The minister said the residents in the area allege that Africans were running a drugs and prostitution racket in the area.
The minister quarrelled with the police when they turned up and wanted arrests to be made immediately.He made a serious racial comment saying that " these African women are not "that type" of women ".
Later on shockingly in the presence of the minister and AAP supporters, two African woman nationals were beaten up, forced to give urine samples and held them captive inside a taxi for nearly three hours by AAP members. One of the victims told the media reporters, “They took our urine samples, put some machines on our body and also cavity searched us. We felt humiliated. We kept telling them that we have not consumed drugs...We were taken to the police station and kept there for over four hours...The police was, however, very helpful and asked us not to panic. But those other men were after our lives.”
Another Ugandan women revealed that they were assaulted by the mob accompanying Bharti. "We were returning from a party when we reached here and we saw a lot of Indian men on the road. They stopped our car, started shouting at us. We were really scared, so refused to step out. They started banging the doors of our car. When the police came, we finally stepped out of the car."
She said, "Police helped us because I think they were going to kill us. The way they were treating us as if we were criminals. We are not criminals. The minister who conducted the raid should be made to resign. What he's doing is not right . We just want to go to our embassy."
The after-effects of Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti's shock-and-awe vigilantism against Africans living in the Capital have started to show their ugly faces.Besides suffering racial and physical abuse, allegedly at the hands of locals, Africans of Nigerian, Congolese and Ugandan origin are now being forced to vacate their apartments in Khirki Extension, and to settle in nearby areas like Khanpur and Deoli village.
But soon the "free for all, open racial abusing theory" effect has extended to crowded Lajpatnagar, when on this Wednesday afternoon, Nido (a student from Arunachal) was in Lajpat Nagar market with a friend. They stopped at Rajasthan Paneer Bhandar in A block to ask for directions. The victim’s friends have alleged that in response, the shopkeeper passed a rude comment about his clothes and the colour of his hair, called him “chinki”, and laughed at him along with some other people at the shop. This allegedly provoked Nido to bang his fist on the shop counter, which shattered the glass and triggered a scuffle between him and the shopkeeper.
According to Nightham Apam, one of Nido’s friends, the shopkeeper and six other men threw chilli powder in Nido’s eyes and beat him. “Nido was beaten with a wooden stick. They also slapped him several times across his face. The shopkeeper called the PCR, and the local police too reached the spot. Both parties were taken to the police station, where police brokered a settlement, and made Nido and his friend shell out Rs 10,000 to pay for the damage at the shop."
The matter, however, did not end here. According to Nightham, a few hours later, men from the shop cornered Nido at the end of a narrow road and beat him again. Police said Nido complained to them after the second incident, and both parties were taken to the police station again. They were made to submit written apologies before being let off.

INDIA HONEST failed to judge or understand, what is the fact ? Were the Delhites racial by taste ? No question arises. Or they have been emboldened by the acts of a law minister Bharti's open racial abuse on the African women and subsequent drama/dharna by the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, that forced the Home Minister Shinde to submission by punishing the Delhi police personal and in result demoralised the whole police force, to become afraid to take any hard but lawful actions against any law breaking persons fearing reprisal by the AAP ministers or supporters.
If the Delhi, known long as a peaceful and cooperative cosmopolitan capital ,has changed its colours overnight with the advent of AAP's theory of instant justice by aam admi, "a la Taliban/khap/kangaroo style" ? Whatever it is, it has gone from bad to worst with the recent change of power baton, from a "rape capital to racial abuse capital".
