Will Bhojpuri Actress Nagma, Bollywood Star Jayaprada Serve Rahul's Women Empowerment ?

Actors Nagma, Jaya Prada and Ravi Kishan are in the race for Congress tickets in Uttar Pradesh,as Nagma is being considered for Phulpur constituency, a historical seat that was once represented by Nehru . While the former Bollywood queen Jaya Prada, a Samajwadi Party sitting MP.  from Rampur, is likely to join the Congress and contest from the minority-dominated seat of Moradabad replacing former cricket star Azharuddin, who is  expected to shift to West Bengal.

Another  Bhojpuri popular actor Ravi Kishan, who virtually rules Bhojpuri filmdom, has been toying with politics for a while and is likely to get a look from Congress from a seat in eastern UP.  Opinion poll discarded Congress has no other option but to bet on star faces, with its weak organisational muscle in most parts of the 80-seat important state UP.

INDIA HONEST sees where little rational in the over emphasised "change Rahul will bring in candidate selection in 2014". Rahul has strongly argued for pressing youth, women, the working class like peasant, majdoor over and above the SC/ST and other weaker section of the society in their new endeavour of new and clean faces this election, but in contrast to all this it is seen that the many decades old Congress party's tradition cannot change, even with the best intentions and promises from Rahul Gandhi, as Congress has ultimately to go with the same bunch of failed bollywood stars or even the worst, to go along with the caste based winnable candidates. Will Rahul take another try in the rerun, possibly in 2019 for his clean politics drive ?
