Will Digvijaya Singh Now Join Hands with his bete noire BJP ?

It is no coincidence that young performing political leaders are replacing the old guards on vital stage of state and central politics. Omar Abdulla, Rahul Gandhi, Sukhvir Singh Badal, Narendra Modi, Mamta Banerjee, Jyotiraditya Scindia, have stepped into the shoes of their old seniors like Manmohan Singh, Farook Abdulla, Prakash Singh Badal, Lal Krishna Adwani, Digvijaya Singh and many old guards.

21st century has a new wave of fresh air in the support of young Turk performers, blended with the experience and guidance of old warhorses. A forty year old economist Raghuram Rajan is better suited to head the central bank RBI then any near sixty, retiring secretary from finance department, but still Amritya Sen or Bhagvati or Rangarajan's advices are more valuable for guidance purpose .

The wise like Manmohan Singh, L K Adwani, Sonia Gandhi , Farook Abdulla relinquish their decorated post gladly, but few power hungry like Digvijaya Singh, Ajit Jogi  will never be able to read between the lines and thus are forcibly discarded.

An outspoken or rather foul spoken General Secretary of Congress has been ousted from his power post for a decade, but his desire for that has not been lost, for that he always prefers to be in the media lime light, more often for wrong reasons or even attempts to anti national mutterings such as :

A day after Congress disowned Shakeel Ahmed's statement in the tweet alleging that the banned terror outfit "Indian Mujahideen was formed after the Gujarat riots" that stirred a political storm; but media glare happy Digvijaya Singh said, "Ahmed was an "experienced" leader and "he must have made the comments after proper thought".

Digvijaya Singh had earlier doubted over the authenticity of Batala House encounter in which Delhi Police decorated officer M.C. Sharma was killed and even he termed the encounter as fake and demanded for judicial enquiry into it. Singh refused to take back his words even after the Delhi sessions court judgement in which court hold Indian Mujahideen operative Shahzad Ahmed guilty of killing inspector MC Sharma and termed 2008 Batala House encounter as genuine. The judgement has once again exposed the habit of Congress general secretary to give controversial and irresponsible statement.

Digvijaya Singh targeted Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and his BJP colleagues  saying they badly needed "lessons in good behaviour and social etiquette" and joked on Narendra Modi for  making his speeches from the replicas of the Red Fort rather than the real one.

Showing his character Digvijaya Singh targeted columnist Shobha De for her remark that many political leaders are as 'sadak chaap', Singh noted (or accepted what he is destined to ? ) that the remark does at least appreciate the fact that politicians have "their foot firmly on ground".

Digvijaya Singh had been getting unfair treatment at the hands of party men and specially a much younger Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is being portrayed as the Congress' chief minister probable. Earlier this month, the Scindia faction organised a rally in Morena where Digvijaya Singh was kept waiting and sweating profusely on the dais, for more than two hours by the Union minister of state.

But on last evening, the Congress finally signalled closer of  its doors on AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh,  even denying him entry into the state PCC conference hall for the press conference called by Union minister of state Jyotiraditya Scindia and Mohan Prakash, Sanjay Nirupam, Kantilal Bhuria,Ajay Singh.

Digvijaya Singh and his supporters stood outside, banging the doors for nearly 20 minutes, making desperate calls from their mobile phones asking Congress workers inside to open the door. The banging on the door continued, but Scindia refused to buzz and asked Congress workers not to let in whoever was knocking. Senior Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam also instructed not to allow him. Yes, Scindia  said to press there was no factional rivalry within the party, echoing the high command's view on Digvijaya Singh .

Even highly desperate Dig sir tried to gain entry through the back door, that was also jammed and then the miffed Dig sir turned to the elevator but that was also shut on second floor. An infuriated and irate Dig sir and his supporters  walked out of the state Congress office. Feeling hurt and humiliated, he climbed into his SUV and left the Congress office with his supporters following in a cavalcade.

Humiliated  time and again by the Congress party and their leaders, what the frustrated  Dig sir will do now ?

Will Digi sir join hands now with his bete noire BJP ?

Congress and PMO Related Coalgate Scam Files Missing Or Removed ?

If the media report that the important files relating to Coalgate are lost from the records, it will be such a big blunder, where not only the Manmohan Singh government will be forced into crisis, but more it will be much embarrassing for Indian democracy nationally and credibility at international platform.

These files are related to the Coalgate scam, where many allegation and counter allegation are made on many Congress's central and state ministers, as well wrongs at the time of last NDA government also are alleged by Congress. Most pathetic the allegation have serious accusation against the supreme head of government, the prime minister Manmohan Singh and his PMO.

The CAG report of 2012 on coal blocks was tabled in the Parliament on 17th August 2012, that blamed that 105 blocks were given to private firms between 1993 and 2009,that gave them likely windfall gain of Rs 1.86 lakh crore from these coal blocks that were indiscriminately allocated on nomination basis instead of competitive bidding. The Central Vigilance Commission asked CBI to enquire into the coal block allocation process between 2006-09, but subsequently expanded the scope of the investigation, also for the alleged irregularities in allocation of coal blocks between 1993 and 2004.

The sensational disclosures made by the Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal, he admitted that some files related to the coal block allocation scam are missing. But it is now come to light that not only files and records of applications for 45 coal blocks allocated from 1993 to 2005 are untraceable but also recommendations made by Congress MP Vijay Darda and forwarded by the Prime Minister’s Office for the Bander block have gone missing.

According to the minutes of the Search Committee meeting held on July 16 and issued on July 29,officials could not find the records of the recommendation made by Congress MP Mr. Darda and forwarded by the PMO for the Bander block allocated to AMR Iron and Steel Ltd.In connection with Coalgate, the CBI raided Mr.Vijay Darda and registered a case against him last year only and  crucial files directly related to PMO missing even one year after continuous working on the basis of those files by CBI, and the surprising revelation that files are removed is made now.

The lost  files also include those which can put light on the truth behind the allegation against NDA ministers , who had vehemently denied the blame, and called the allegation false and untrue and called the blame made only to misguide and delay the investigation. The Coalgate scam investigation is carried out by the CBI under direct observation of Supreme Court and as such the matter and records are sub-judice, a loss of such files will be serious legal and proprietary crisis for the UPA government.

It makes a question mark on which records the investigation agency CBI was working for last 400 days, when those crucial documents and files were not given to them. Probably the CBI was seeing, verifying and assembling the photographs and bio datas of PMO members and their head.

Astonishing it is only possible in India, where the supreme investigating agency CBI was working without the most important, essential and crucial records showing how the coal block allocation were made, its screening by the committee and the relevant recommendation records and files are not given to them.

The bare admission and disclosure by CBI of loss of files proves that investigators are not vigilant and impartial, may be suitably accused by the Supreme Court not only for the negligence but for charges of criminal collusion in the removal of important files, directly related to the essence of the scam involving  ruling Ministers and PMO.

Will the Election of 2014 Be Fought on Federal or Presidential Style ?

Will the election of 2014 be fought on Federal or Presidential style ,where it will be between the two, suppose to be the most eligible persons of the two main parties for the post? But here  the condition are far different from what the view media is proposing and guessing.

First there are several parties, at least more than twenty, a mammoth number for such type of choice election. Second neither the two main parties (or groups namely UPA and NDA)  have declared their prime ministerial candidate for the post nor the other regional parties had made up their mind, as regards whether they will align with any of the main block or have a definite strategy to create a new third group by including all the other parties, and at best they will wait to announce their choice of group till the election results are out. In such a scenario nobody can imagine how any presidential form of election can be effective ?

The game theme  is propagated more by the BJP  led NDA, because theoretically they have much better position as per the sample opinion poll survey conducted by different media groups till date, plus they are the largest opposition party to reap the anti incumbency benefits.

And lastly the main ruling party Congress has thrown the towel before the start of actual fight, by hiding their choice candidate for the post, still gauging the mood of the people's verdict, and protecting their suppose to be the candidate Rahul Gandhi from the heat generated against the party by the dismal to worst performance by the UPA 2, which was led by Manmohan Singh, but guided and controlled by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

In the Congress camp the understanding may be such that Rahul and Sonia Gandhi's popularity will be used for winning the next election, but in case of a possible wash out, Rahul will not have to share the blame of defeat , thus it will be win of Rahul Gandhi, but loss of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

More over they have undertaken the task of using some popular game changer scheme like Food Security Bill, which will be proposed and taken by Sonia Gandhi specially in the Parliament to gain more popularity, as the only Mashiha of poor people, while the financial and economic breakdown, rising inflation, corruption and scams, non passing of popular Jan Lokpal Bill and tryst with China or Pakistan at border will be the subjects for which the prime minister has to be blamed.

The signs are not good, because a large part of Urban population, youth and a bigger section of non urban population, have become much knowledgeable and smart, and the caste or religion based bias in rurals, have given way for growth-development and good governance.

This gradual but solid change of mindset among the voters particularly youth, will be converted in some percentage change of votes away from UPA and that may be captured by the main opposition. Only these minor percentage of votes will be crucial target of accumulation through the positive hype and wave  created by the iconic Narendra Modi, and this will be the crucial guiding factor of results in the next election, irrespective of all other things remaining same.

And here the Congress think tank has failed completely, by showing arrogance to their legitimate and rational criticism either for failures in economic and foreign relation front or in denial of corruption charges till the last moment till the case nailed down them beyond doubt, has given special notoriety to most of the spokespersons of Congress  in the public eyes.

In the worst game plan of  this ill advised, adamant leadership, in retaliation to the criticism chose to fire all cylinders beyond a level directly on Narendra Modi, giving him much needed special push to the centre stage, again doing blunder in targeting him plainly on the communal line, which is no more people's subject; it has rather switched greatly to the more persistent need of employment, development and corruption free good governance platform along with safety, security and dignity of the people.

Possibly lot of political Pundits failed to gauge the mood of people, glimpse of which was available at the Lokpal bill and Nirbhaya rape agitation at Delhi in recent times. Time will tell, whether the prediction has some indicative guidelines, measuring the mood of people, as so called the common man or still it will take   another turn by the time election are held .

Is Not Cancellation of Meeting Is More of Face Saver for Antony's Faux Pas ?

The  rosy story of most successful India-Pakistan dialogue process period till 2008, was abruptly abandoned at the 26/11 attacks, and again the prospective fresh dialogue summit supposed to take place in September this year with the incumbent new Pakistan Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif, has been cancelled by the reluctant and silent Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in his address to the nation from Lal Killa on 67th Independence Day Celebration , amid nation wide protest and opposition after the ambush and killing of six Indian soldiers by the Pakistani troops in the disguise of terrorists.

The current episode needs an analytical analysis in the prospective of the circumstances and history of last one decade, when several peace processes were initiated and but abruptly left for reasons one or another and dumped for long periods till again a fresh change in atmosphere takes place.

The ups and downs in this traverse journey of such animated peace dialogues always leave behind some traces, some puzzling links, a difficult task for the political strategists to ponder over the ultimate reasons behind the game , but fail substantially in pinpointing the true play behind the scene, at least for the vast knowledge in public domain. Repeating the same story one may put the few pointer case scenario relating the recent attack on Indian soldiers at the LoC as below.

a) The attack was managed by the Pakistan Army in knowledge of Nawaz Sharif, as the new prime minister want to secure his position among the hardliners in Pakistan, including the Army, who are visibly upset with the peace in Kashmir and their terror operations going weak. This leading to a feeling that their influence in the Kashmir Valley is slipping.

b) In the second case it may be individualistic work of the Pakistan Army only to maintain their importance in the national politics of Pakistan, that may be short of a rebuke to Sharif’s overtures to India.

c) In one of least probable possibility, this may be a local effort of Pakistani troops and the jihadi terror groups influenced by their leader Hafiz Syed's threat call, and without the knowledge  of their civil bosses, or the consent and support of the Pakistan Army top brass. This is assumed scenario, with a view to the rising influence and infiltration of jihadi elements in the Pakistani army, at different levels.

In such disguised and illusory circumstances , Indian leadership has to fight hard to find a suitable future course by making a far sighted and judged decision, more importantly , it has to tackle simultaneously from both militarily, where threat of "tit for tat" may be the line of action; and diplomatically pressurising them on bilateral as well international level by accusing them while pinpointing their culpability and collusion in the crime of killing six soldiers across the border and continued violation of cease fire on LoC.

Alas ! if our Defence Minister had not blundered by the faux pas through the statement in the Indian Parliament ?

We have almost surrendered the best chance of nailing them with the crime they did so bluntly. And today decision of cancelling the summit,  was more to dilute the blame earned by Mr. Antony, rather less of an judged decision, where we could have ripped open their collusive bogey in the name of Kashmir at international platform.

Honest India panel Asks the Defence Minister Mr. Antony Some Honest Questions

The Defence Minister Mr. Antony informed the Parliament, " a patrol of the Indian Army comprising of one Non-commissioned officer and five other ranks was ambushed on our side of Line of Control in Poonch Sector of Jammu and Kashmir and in the ensuing firefight, five Indian soldiers were martyred and one soldier was injured. The ambush was carried out by approximately 20 heavily armed terrorists along with persons dressed in Pakistan Army uniforms".

Honest India panel asks the Defence Minister Mr. Antony :

a) how he ascertained that those persons in Pakistan Army uniforms were not army men but terrorist ?,

b) how he ascertained that ? ,

c) what is his source of this information ?,

d) why it may not be the vice versa that those twenty men, who were in plain dress were actually Pakistan regular Army men ?,

e) how a twenty members so called heavily armed terrorists could reach so near the actively guarded border outpost without the convenience of Pakistan Army ?,

f) what made the Defence Minister Mr. Antony to pronounce the verdict that regular Pakistan Army were not involved ?,

g) why the defence minister of an army whose five soldiers have been killed by cheating in disguise in midnight, should not be angry and make  an hawkish charge on the opposite Army to boost the morale of his military ?

Defence Minister Mr. Antony owes an answer to the above questions.
